「尷尬」可以念成「ㄐㄧㄢㄐㄧㄝˋ」嗎？粉絲專頁「出版魯蛇碎碎念」1日發文表示，教育部國語辭典竟然將網路玩笑用法「ㄐㄧㄢㄐㄧㄝˋ」收入字國外旅遊典，根本是將錯就錯、積非成是。網友紛紛留言「我以為是開玩笑的」、「不是吧」、「算了，老老實實翻紙本字典好了」。crown行李箱

教育部重編國語辭典修訂本「尷尬」的讀音除了收錄「ㄍㄢㄍㄚˋ」之外，在後面標明「（又音）ㄐㄧㄢㄐㄧㄝˋ」。很多網友表示這「根本來亂的」，但其實尷尬的古音真的是「ㄐㄧㄢㄐㄧㄝˋ」！國語辭典總編輯許學仁說，讀音是歷史的演變，參考不同的文獻會得到不同的解答，沒有誰對誰錯。

也有精通聲韻學的網友說，尷尬是形聲字，監、介是聲符，表示在古音裡尷尬跟監介讀音相同或相近，但隨著時間演變，監介產生讀音的變化，從「ㄍ」變成「ㄐ」，但尷尬在現代用法裡還是保持「ㄍ」的音，所以本來相同的讀音，是到現代才不同，並不是錯字，也不是玩笑用法。

曾擔任字典助理編輯的網友則說，辭典的概念是傳承紀錄，不是標準答案，因為語言是變化的，不會有「這樣說才對」、「那樣說一定不對」的說法，而是看「詞彙是不是普遍被使用了」、「社會大眾是不是多能接受這種用法或這種解釋」；很多人會覺得廣義的辭典有積非成是的狀況，但那只是活用語言的現象而已。

出版魯蛇碎碎念也回應神人網友的回答，謝謝他們讓自己學到一課，但還是希望學校老師都能教導學生，區分「通俗」與「原音」的不同，因為那才是「真正的起源與值得保留的文化」。
